Avoiding Pressures

There are some pressures you need to avoid if you still need to keep yourself cool in this insane world. In fashion, for example, because something is trending does not mean you should strain your wallet just to have it. After all, fashion is not largely about the type of dress or the material, but the fitting - so do not keep yourself under pressure to have what you can't afford.

The truth is; if you cannot buy something over again (at least twice), then you cannot afford it in the first place. Even if you cannot afford it today, do not beat yourself because of it, tomorrow you may be a distributor of the same thing.

Whether you ride on a lambo or on a corolla, you will still get to your destination on the same road, so do not stress your wallet if you can't afford a lambo. Life isn't about competing with anybody, and do not feel bad because you can't afford something, be happy with the ones you can afford.

Whether you fly to your destination in first class or in an economy class, it will not rule off the fact that everyone in the same plane will arrive at the same time without a recourse to the position you occupied in the plane.

According to the testimony of the former president of Nigeria; Goodluck Ebele Jonathan; at a point in his life, he could not afford a pair of shoes, but it did not stop him from rising and becoming the president of Africa's most populous black nation. This is to prove to you that your current state does not determine how your tomorrow will be like.

Sleeping on water mattress or air mattress does not guarantee you having a nice and sound sleep. Believe me, if you become happy with your "stone-hard" orthopaedic mattress, you will discover how sound your sleep will be. Do not allow what you currently cannot afford to derail you from seeing that fact that you need to appreciate what you have and hope for the better.

Using the story of Nigeria's former president to illustrate your point is very appropriate and inspirational. If only people could pay less attention to peer pressure.... their anxiety levels would diminish considerably! But this is no easy feat :)

The message you convey here brings to mind something Dr Mark Williamson wrote in one of his books (The Key to Happiness):

I've heard about Dr. Mark Williamson  but haven't read his book yet. I think I once saw a YouTube video of his "Action for happiness" campaign. I'm going to look for his book.
