You need to understand that your life's destination is very different from someone else's own. In the same way, what you call destination may be what some other people call "starting point". This is why you do not have to base your life's journey on someone else's standard.

If you follow someone else and drop at their destination, you may become stranded at that point. You can only find fulfilment when you follow your own pathway. Imagine if a fish follows another animal (maybe a frog) to leave the water, it may end up in Mrs Smith's pot of soup (joke intended). The point here is, do not allow someone else's qualities to chart a course for your own life.

Life is not all about competing with someone - cos most of what you see on the outside is just a tip of what is going on on the inside. Instead of competing, you are supposed to complete others - this shows that you are unique and have part to fill, without this, there will be a void.

Just to view it like the various parts of the human body: The mouth, for example, is not meant to compete with the eye or the nose, so also are other parts of the body. They are meant to work on their own full capacity but together to make the body function well - this is what "completing, not competing" means.

The day you start competing with someone else is the day you start to lose yourself in the pursuit of other people. Just like the ear cannot perform the full function of the eye, competing with others may just limit you to becoming number 2. When you face your own unique purpose, that is when you will create impact.
