It was on the eve of Christmas, Andy was returning from mass, and because it was beginning to drizzle, he had to choose a shorter route to his house. The route is very undulating and lonely, and has remained unused for a very long time because of some rumours that ghosts do play "hide-and-seek" with people's lives as they moved through the path.

But because Andy never believed in ghosts all his life, and also the thought of taking miles under the rain to get to his house while he can cut it short to metres made him to choose the lonely path.

While progressing halfway into the path, he had a sudden buzz-like noise which made him somewhat startled. But he tried to convince himself that what he heard was unreal.. and his brain followed suit, and he was able to "deceive" himself into believing himself - so he moved on.

But on going further, the noise reverberated more distinctively, and this time, he could hear something the looked like market women chatting in Spanish. He doesn't understand Spanish, but at least, everyone knows "gracias".

How weird!! How would people be buying and selling at this odd hours of the evening inside the bush? - because that was where the noise emanated from. But more weird was the fact that no one in the community was known to speak Spanish fluently, so where are these people from? Now Andy was getting scared; which was very unusual, and he had never felt this way in his life.

When he convinced himself to take a peep into the crevices of the bush, what he saw sent plantations of goose bumps down his spine. He saw a club of faceless people chanting and using human bones as drumsticks. Holy shit!! How in the name of shit are these people talking without having mouths or any other facial feature?

And for the first time in Andy's life, he felt so blank. The only thing he finally thought of was "run". You needed to see how his legs were almost touching the back of his head as he scrammed. I'm sure he would have beaten Hussein Bolt if it was to be the Olympics.

Ever since then, he never took that road and he wouldn't wish even his enemies to have that encounter. That route has now been dubbed "Pathway to ghost-land".
