One Life Was Enough (#Day 49)

When he sip smiles like chocolate
Nature's accolades  is what wet his throat 
His ways, I knew had never been straight
Since he brought this straight rod home
Dangling
Hanging
Saggy
Yet nothing is more alive that it

During his funeral
That moments we were expected to cry
We touched his face
Dried and dead from formalin
We could feel his tears saying
**Don't put me in this grave
I've got lives to live**

Within the banks of pique or antipathy
I don't really know which was
But we sat around kegs of gossips
Talking like women with our loins 
Thrown in between our legs
Covering what touched the bleeding skies
On wet bloody nights

When we finally let him down
He held on to my hands
Spat into his hands
How can a man be identified without his identity?
I could sense what he needed
**But one life was enough for him**
