Rom Yaari is the kind of artist who does not limit his art to canvasses alone.  His preferred medium is naked women!

I met him here in Bali and felt immediately compelled to help him achieve his dream of making a film about his extraordinary life.

His art is instinctive, detailed, complex and often quite dark, reflecting the life of a man who has seen the highs and lows of LA fame... and for the first time ever, he reveals in this film many personal aspects of his past, including stories of sexual abuse, male prostitution and drug addiction from an early age.

## His creative style has evolved over the years and so too has his attitude towards life.

I produced this documentary with no budget at all.  Just the kit I travel with.  And I did this because I had a good feeling about him.  Nothing more.  

### It was just something I knew I had to do.

This is actually not what I would call a finished film, but more a teaser for the feature length version which could potentially be produced if someone were to invest into it.

I lived with Yaari for two months at a time when we were expecting the birth of Luna... and I can tell you it was not an easy period in my life!  

After I was able to escape his clutches and the healing process was done, it became evident that the film did in fact have some merit to it.   

So, six months after putting this project down, I have decided pick it back up again...

It is my intention to upload it to DTube too, but to do that here in Indonesia, well... let's just say it could take me a week!

@yaariart wrote a [short piece](https://steemit.com/art/@yaariart/i-m-back-with-a-teaser-of-my-upcoming-film-made-by-samstonehill) this morning about this production and I am really happy he has finally given me permission to put this film on line.

Tonight I will be cutting a short trailer to go with it.  I know how everyone on Steemit is in a hurry!

Though once you see the trailer.... I feel sure you will want to see the rest ;)

This guy in SPECIAL.... in the kind of way you don't forget.  He taught me many things about myself.

I would like to point out that the film is as finished as I could get it with zero budget and my sanity intact!

Basically, my patience ran out and the time came to move on.  

Yaari tested me in ways I have never before been tested.  

But in amongst the madness of it all I was still able to produce a film which does I think show the amazing artist he is and also the sad, tormented soul behind the layered masks of smiles & extravagance.

I hope some of you have the time to watch this and are able to let me know what you think.  There is a small chance that I may just pick it back up again to complete the feature version.  Various international film festivals have shown interest.... 

## Do not be fooled by the end credits
Yaari's ego demanded that there be the appearance of a large crew.  The truth of the matter is simple.  It was just me.

So, if any of you think this film has potential and you fancy investing... well let's get this thing done!
