A greater amount of the indoor pool at Grossinger's. The tiled floor was warmed, the whole structure ventilated. Above, lovely mid-century "sputnik" crystal fixtures cast a sparkle on the swimmers underneath. Underneath the pool are practice rooms, an exercise center, salon and a large group of different civilities. The pool has sat empty since the late 90's and has fallen unrecoverable

Grossinger's outdoor pool, olympic sized, built in 1949 at a cost of $400,000 (about $5 million in today's market.) Long gone are the private cabanas, changing room and lounges that used to surround it.

The browns and reds and oranges of this Poconos dining hall's carpet have turned green, the color of the moss that's taken its place.

The Homowack Lodge now sits deserted on the southern edge of the famous "Borscht Belt." On its lower level, possibly the feature of the place, a four-path Brunswick rocking the bowling alley back road. It has abided more promising times. The resort shut in the mid-2000's yet lived on quickly, first as a Hasidic resort and ultimately as the site of a mid year camp—one which was compelled to close down after the NY Department of Environmental Conservation esteemed it appalling.

Grossinger's indoor tennis focus. The back of the postcard is a promotion for Grossinger's rye bread, a nearby staple amid the resort's operation. Resort sovereignty Jenny Grossinger lays out the pitch: "The fun and outside air individuals arrive at Grossinger's truly gives them a craving. They cherish the greater part of our sustenance - and a specific most loved is our Grossinger's rye and pumpernickel bread. Presently you can get this same solid, tasty bread at your nearby nourishment store. Attempt a piece. I'm certain you'll cherish it."
