The Hubble Space Telescope team has restored the work of another main scientific instrument of the observatory - the WFC 3 camera. 

Now two scientific instruments are active on board the Hubble, all other instruments are still in safe mode.

Another major failure of the observatory occurred a month ago, and since then the Hubble has been in safe mode. 

The failure was caused by errors in synchronization of scientific instruments with internal data exchange systems. 

On November 7, engineers were able to resume operation of the ACS (Advanced Camera for Surveys) camera, which allowed the telescope to begin scientific observations in a limited mode.

On November 23, 2021, specialists commissioned another main scientific instrument of the observatory - the WFC 3 (Wide Field Camera 3) camera

This camera monitors in a wide wavelength range (from near infrared to ultraviolet) and with a large field of view. 

WFC 3 also accounts for over a third of Hubble's observing time.

The WFC 3, as well as the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph (COS) spectrograph, are expected to receive software updates in the next few weeks

They should be able to continue to operate even in the event of multiple missed synchronization messages. 

The rest of the telescope instruments are still in safe mode.
