@quinneaker is a fascinating character, and the sustainable community he founded at the @gardenofeden is a fascinating place.

A few times a year, newspaper, radio, TV, film, and documentary crews do features on him and this place.

Before I got here, abundant worldwide coverage usually focused on the $350K black ops SWAT raid the City of Arlington bogusly conducted against these peaceful people. He was interviewed by [Ron Paul](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9zclZreqfM), The [Huffington Post](https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/15/texas-swat-team-conducts-_n_3764951.html), Alex Jones, and dozens more media outlets. 

While no one would have wished for such a gross act of terrorism as the SWAT raid on their humanitarian project, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise in that more people than ever before became aware of this small group of conscious, responsible beings choosing to live together in love and peace. 

In my years here at the @gardenofeden, I have seen major networks including BBC, [ABC](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdW1UbsWp28), and [CBS](https://dfw.cbslocal.com/2016/11/14/controversial-group-leader-denies-fringe-ties/) interview Quinn; independent filmmakers win international awards for [projects](https://www.amazon.com/Big-Secret-Alex-Voss/dp/B07B6SV76T) that prominently feature him; and dozens of print and digital articles, podcasts, and shows cover Quinn's life and vision for humanity. 

In summer 2016, MTV came over to play!

They sent a crew of 7 to shoot over many weeks, collecting hundreds of hours of footage to edit down to an episode of their long running docu-series *True Life*.

The episode featured our friend Emet, a long time volunteer here in The GOE who was finally ready to move in and be part of this life full time.

The show followed him as he transitioned from matrix dweller to full time inhabitant of The Garden of Eden.

Even with 3 cameras filming for 10+ hours a day, it was impossible to capture the infinite facets of existence that unfold here. Nonetheless, we gave them a nice lil taste without fabricating any aspect just for TV. 

Conveniently, we had just salvaged tens of thousands of pounds of building material that had otherwise been destined for the landfill mere weeks before Emet's arrival. Quinn encouraged him to repurpose one of the large wooden shipping crates into his living quarters.

Perfect! He needed a place to stay, and MTV wanted to document him accomplishing some tangible project. 

They filmed him in various levels of construction in the heat of the Texas summer. As Emet had probably never even hammered a single nail in his life, he relied heavily on Quinn for instruction. 

Quinn is the most reliable master of solutions I have met in this world - the amount of stuff he knows how to do and his breadth of knowledge of how things work is astounding. It's actually one of the most inspiring, unwavering things I witness and one of my favorite things about living at the @gardenofeden. 

His solutions are one of the reasons I get excited for people to interview him and broadcast his messages. Yes he can guide someone in building a house, but he can speak to the deeper energetics and karmic repercussions of building a house out of salvaged material in support of our living planet.

Yes he can show someone how to cook a meal, but he can also show them how to grow and harvest the bounties of the land so they can completely bypass shopping at stores (which supports the global military industrial complex) to feed themselves and their families.

Yes he can show someone how to build a fire, but he can also speak to the physics of the fire, the vortex of heat created in its central point, how to control what could be a supremely destructive force to accomplish any task that calls for subtleties in temperature, smoke, burn time, and fuel source. 

Yes he can speak to raising children and supporting a happy, healthy family - but his children are really glowing examples unto themselves of how fulfilling and fun parenting can be!

MTV filmed all these things and more while they were here.

It was pretty fun to host an extended shoot in our home; most crews follow Quinn for less than a week, and sometimes it's while he's out in the world at conferences or meetings. We fed them high vibe food we cooked on our rocket stoves, and gave the crew massages after long days of holding heavy equipment.

We wrapped it up with one of our specialties: an Eden epic event PARTY!!! In addition to providing dank, sustainable food for our friends and family, we also had music from some of our favorite local performers, and even set up a big ass sustainable slip n slide for great fun!

And of course Quinn kept sight on the bigger picture and spoke to the long term effects of our gathering. Yes we hosted great fun for our extended community, providing wholesome family entertainment and world class cuisine for all, but we spent $0 USD for every single person in attendance - not a single person had to sell a single man-hour of their precious life at a job they hated in exchange for a paycheck in order to throw such a bash for so many free people. 

Needless to say, Emet was greatly upgraded from the experience. 

Ultimately, the final episode on MTV barely scratched the surface of everything they filmed, cutting scenes we know they recorded for hours into mere seconds, leaving just a superficial glimpse into our lives....but we didn't exactly expect Pulitzer Prize winning coverage from MTV anyway.

Since then I have seen dozens more crews film and interview Quinn, and every time I am delighted by their fascination with him. Reporters are drawn into more heart-warming, hopeful visions for humanity than what they regularly report on the news, and they are astounded by the living example the @gardenofeden has showcased for a decade. 

I hope the next phase of our lives includes a full-time in-house crew excited to share his vision, because I am living proof that his inspiration makes a significant impact! A better, more awesome life is totally achievable in every way imaginable! 

"Anything is possible," Quinn says. "The revolution begins within!"

If more people realize that ***it really is possible*** to really L-I-V-E the life of your dreams, the whole world will change.
