The best way to push the value of steem further up is to onboard masses to create a demand for the coin. As of now, we steemians are very few in numbers. To your knowledge, over 1.3 million accounts have been created on steemit so far! Though the number seems big enough, actual and real steemians who are active on a daily basis are very few. It has been found that number to be around less than 50,000! And if you were to consider the ones who add any value to the system, this number will again go down!

For us steemians, it is not unknown that there is hardly any other active blockchain concept exists which can be deployed to replace the numerous use cases the steem blockchain has. As far as I understand from my experience of nearly two years on steemit, steem(coin) and the  social media concept it comes attached with are highly undervalued!

The major deterrent force that prevents crypto enthusiasts from entering this platform is their ignorance about the existence of such a platform. If only we could attract all these people into our platform, it will create an increasing demand for the coins due to wide adoption which eventually result in the increase in its value.

I recently started following a steem veteran @theycallmedan who seems to work hard his level best to push the boundaries of steem to its deserved place. On quora he has been chosen as the best writer for the year 2018 with over 4.1 million total content views!(That number is still nearly four times bigger than the total number of accounts on steemit!)

Through his recent [posts](https://steemit.com/quora/@theycallmedan/help-spread-steem-awareness-on-quora-s-steemian-roundup-space) on steemit, he has been continuously urging steemians to make the best use of their social media presence to make the people aware of the existence of such a thing called steemit. As an optimistic steemian, I've found his idea to be great and am doing whatever I can to make our platform great.
