The Bull and The Lion (A Short Story)

<p>Yesterday, I was on a binge watch mode on YouTube. You know, when you keep clicking and watching random videos that you think are interesting which are suggested to you by YouTube. I did the same. Somehow, from watching Neil deGrasse Tyson talk about Mars, I stumbled upon a video of a popular Guru.&nbsp;</p>

I was about to click away when he started telling a story which I found quite interesting. So, I’m sharing the story with you all here. The story was too short so I used my own imagination and elongated it quite a bit by adding stuff here and there. So here goes.

<h2><center>THE BULL &amp; THE LION</center></h2>
<p>
There was once a forest where a mighty lion used to live. Every other animal was afraid of the lion and so they stayed away from him for they feared being eaten by him.

</p>
<p>The lion, during the prime of his life, was so ferocious that even other lions couldn’t stand up to him and so they had all left the forest leaving him alone to rule it. 

</p>
<p>This made the lion’s life so much easier since he could just roam around and eat whatever he liked and so he did. He killed and devoured a lot of animals which made several of them leave the forest too.

</p>
<p>But as the years went by, the lion grew older and it was getting more and more difficult for him to find a prey. He could still hunt but it took longer than ever.&nbsp;</p>
<p>He didn’t want to show his weakness to the other animals of the forest, so he showed them that he was still all powerful.

<p>One day, a bull, grazing in a grassland nearby the forest, just kind of strayed into the forest. He was not aware of the lion and his might and so he kept going deeper and deeper into the forest and lost his way back. 

</p>
<p>As he was making his way through the forest, he came across a group of hunters. They were having a fun time shooting at birds and thinking that they posed a danger, the bull ran away. 

</p>
<p>After some time the bull sat down as he got tired unaware that just a few feet away, his death was stalking him. The lion was hiding behind a tree happy to find a big fat bull as bulls are easier to prey upon. He thought that it was his lucky day.</p>
<p>&nbsp;

And so, the lion attacked the bull, killed him and ate him up. It was after a long, long time that the lion had eaten anything larger than a wild boar. He was immensely satisfied. It reminded him of his prime years and made him feel all powerful again.

</p>
<p>So, he began to roar loudly to show his power to the other animals of the forest. But unbeknown to him, the group of hunters was just passing by in a nearby area. The hunters heard the roar and got all excited. They followed the roar and reached the lion who was just sitting near the carcass.

<p>The hunters raised their guns and shot the lion dead.</p>

The moral of the story is - When you are so full of bull, you should keep your mouth shut! :P</h3>
