Human emotions are not permanent. It keeps changing. If one day, you feel happy, the next day you might feel like wallowing in self pity and being idle all day, thus wasting time and doing no good either to yourself or to others. Sometimes you are so angry that you feel like throwing things and even end up destroying that favorite mug. 

### Can it be helped?
Emotional outbursts are common. If you have not had one, you are not a human. Most people have had mood changes and are trying to attain that level of maturity which allows one to overcome emotions. I wrote 'trying' because only a few people have attained that state, one being the Great Buddha. 

It is not easy to be in a perfect state of mind all the time. Things keep occurring and one needs a strong mind and heart to overcome hurdles, obstacles, setbacks, health issues and other such things in life. These things remind us all that life is certainly not a bed of roses. 

When one problem arises, all the previous ones seem silly and then we tend to concentrate on this one. Time thus ebbs away and before we know it, the years slip by and one day we realize that we could have lived more happily if only we had not given more importance to our worries. 

### The choice is indeed ours. 
#### Come what may, choose to smile and be brave.
