Thanks @sc-n for this message truly we christians donot want to ask for forgiveness and even when we do it it is done jokingly  yet we are supposed to have a repentant heart since the blood of Jesus is here to cleanse us

Amen. That's a good reminder. This message in John's epistle is very pivotal in the Christian life. It provides peace the fallen and gives them hope that there's a comeback 

True repentance comes from the heart. The bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but if we confess our sins, He will forgive us. He's truly full of mercy and loving kindness, if only we ask for His forgiveness. 
Pride is one of things that can hinder our spiritual growth. Pride will prevent us from asking for mercy.

Thank you @sc-n for this write-up,we have to forget our past sins and move forward in life.We are not also to go back to our sins because he is faithful to forgive,once we ask for forgiveness we shouldn't go back to sin again.It will be like a dog going back to his vomit.

God is not done with his work when we first believe and are saved. He intends day by day to make us into what we already are in Christ. Spiritual growth is not optional or marginal in the Christian life. Every person that truly believes in Christ is increasingly transformed into his likeness.

So be it. That is a decent update. This message in John's epistle is exceptionally essential in the Christian life. It gives peace the fallen and gives them trust that there's a rebound 

Genuine atonement originates from the heart. The book of scriptures says all have trespassed and missed the mark concerning the greatness of God, however in the event that we admit our transgressions, He will excuse us. He's genuinely loaded with benevolence and cherishing consideration, if just we request His absolution. 

Pride is one of things that can ruin our profound development. Pride will keep us from requesting leniency.

Much obliged to you @sc-n for this compose up,we need to overlook our past sins and push ahead in life.We are not likewise to backpedal to our transgressions since he is dependable to forgive,once we request pardoning we shouldn't backpedal to sin again.It will resemble a puppy backpedaling to his regurgitation.

The Holy Spirit is always there to teach us all things. We should always trust Him.

God loves us so much, not only did  He forgives us our sins but He remembers it no more.....
His not a man He never lies or go back to his words....

Christ died for us so we could be reconciled back to our maker. On several occasions He expressly stated that he came for __*the lost*__; this shows God's love to sinners-- His desire is that they will recognise who they really are, and run back  in brokenness to where they truly belong. And John 1:9 wraps it up:

>If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse is from all unrighteousness.

To me, this the first step to spiritual growth. Then, the rest is being taken care of by Holyspirit -- submitting our will to His, and yielding to him per time.

The only way to grow in the Spirit is to ask for forgiveness  and seek God the more

Even when we were yet sinners God made provisions for Us to be saved. So Much love has the father bestowed on us that he sent Our Lord Jesus to die for our sins. Sin was the origin, but by the death of Christ and by one's confession of His Name, The father refuses to see sins, but rather He sees Jesus when he sees us, Holy, pure like Jesus!

God's love and mercy are renewed everyday and endure forever. Though, it is not for us to continue in sinning. There is provision for our perfection in the scripture (2 Timothy 3: 16-17)

reading this beautiful publication, God brought to my memory a preaching I gave in my congregation a while ago. There he spoke about the roots of bitterness that bind us to the past and do not let us have a spiritual growth, it is important if we want to grow as children of God, leave those bitterness of the past those memories that do not allow us to move forward. Thanks for this post.
