This [article](https://cjasn.asnjournals.org/content/8/11/1857) explores the utility of the urine eosinophils as a diagnostic tool for the diagnosis of acute interstitial nephritis. The sensitivity and specificity of the test is poor. Without a renal biopsy the diagnosis will always be possible or probable. Clinical judgement should be use together with other markers of tubular dysfunction
