I know that on one occasion George R.R Martin, Aka "The evil fat guy", said that to write a fantasy story the most essential element would be a map. It is not for less, you need a map, not only for the purposes within the history (per se), but also so that oneself as an author is guided. By this I mean that it is necessary to place the locations in geographic points from the moment we start writing. For this we can do it on a sheet of paper, or in some app or something. In any case, the important thing is that you need  the map.


In fantasy novels there is usually a lot of movement, and things that will happen in very varied locations.


I finally have mine. At least the parts of the center west of the country. Where all the events of this first book will happen, yes, I want to write a saga.

The name of the country will be Verona, in honor of Italy, and also Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare.

In the north we have the city of Samour, a city for which I was inspired by a mixture of London and Prague from the 18th century. It has a variety of trees called Cadaceus, which are many meters tall, are very old and it is said that the spirits of mystical beings rest in their leaves, in the form of butterflies. 

In Japanese folklore, butterflies are souls. Although in the oldest Anglo-Saxon folklore, butterflies are fairies who like cream. Samour also has theaters and a huge castle which is found by crossing a bridge that leads to a forest where they are said to inhabit unicorns and centaurs. Although nobody has ever seen any. It is also the home of the Scheffer family, who hold the oldest military power in Verona. They are like samurai. Its symbol is a butterfly with wings of rays and flames.


Locrian is a much smaller city, surrounded by forests and mountains. Its symbol is a wendigo, because it is said that these beings live there. Although what is known is that it was the place of tribes of cannibals who think they are extinct.

Dorian is a city with many green areas and aquatic places due to the rivers. It is also a city where many artists meet, and it is also a great university center. Its symbol is a lion that represents strength.

The names of these last two cities come from musical emotions.

Mythrill in the center is the capital of Verona. A huge city to which all roads lead to it. Its architecture is impressive and is full of very large places. In its streets you can find all kinds of people. It is the home of the Poncrator family, who hold political and economic power. The symbol of the city is the Russian phoenix, reminiscent of the works of Stravinsky. While the symbol of the Poncrator is that of a butterfly whose wings represent water and wind. The city has a certain resemblance to Venice.</div>
