Strawberry. The first summer berry that everyone loves
Juicy, tender, sweet, sour, rough, small - how much can be heard about this berry. The berry of childhood, which was not so easy to find in childhood in the garden. And if you find it, you should know a few rules when you can get it. The first is that the strawberry should be red on all sides, because if it has a green side, it is not ripe yet. But the tip may be green. Secondly, you need to pluck with the tail, then it will be better stored. Third, why wait so long ๐Ÿ˜„ - get, washed and ate.

This year we have a small bed of strawberries, and some flowers froze after the May frosts. In the photo you can see the black center, which is a sign of frostbite.

And not all of the flowers that bloom will be berries. This year we will watch them, because if it's just a empty flower, it is better to uproot it and plant a new variety of strawberry. Sometimes it happens that strawberries are "reborn".

In the photo you can see that there are several bushes with abundant flowering, but the middle is not tied.

The first berries usually please us a month after flowering.

I felt how this berry is harvested in the farm fields in 2016. My husband and I decided to go to work in Poland to pick strawberries. It is not easy at all. Just imagine that you are squatting or kneeling all day in the field, and still need to work as fast as possible to make money.

There are so many delicious desserts with strawberries. Banal sponge cake with cream, cheesecake with strawberries, spinach and strawberry salad. And recently I saw panna cotta with wine jelly and strawberries, a kind of adult dessert. I want to try. But I'll wait for my strawberry :)
