It all happened in 1977 when the famously named WOW signal occured. It was a strong narrowband radio signal detected by Jerry R. Ehman on August 15, 1977, while he was working on a SETI ( Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) project . Signal which lasted more then a minute (72 seconds) amzed Jerry and he out of excitement said "WOW!" thus giving the signal name as a WOW signal. Afterwards he send several transmission but the signal was never recieved again neither uptil now any more discovery has been made during this regard. But it is strange, about how and who send those signals from the space. It is believed that the WOW signal originated from the two regions of space in the constellation Sagittarius.
