I often write about Decentralized Finance because I think the Steemit Community is well positioned to take advantage of that movement and this would be fertile ground for such a wealth building tool, considering the level of effort people here put into learning this complex platform. However today I read a post by @pawanregmi28 called “Forget Cash I have Steem”. After reading this post an idea leaped from my mind onto this page. It was an intense and exciting idea, which I am excited to share with you now.


The idea is a “Get Back to Basics” kind of idea. Perhaps decentralized finance and other similar ideas are to complex a use case for mass consumption and as a stimulus for mass adoption. But perhaps a concept as simple as We want to provide a way for you to do what your already doing, the way your already doing it, but for FREE and OH BY THE WAY WE WILL PAY YOU TO DO IT THE FREE WAY. That concept sounds exciting to me! How about you??? Do I have your attention now? Let me explain.

I think that the most important things to drive adoption of a cryptocurrency  is ease of use and utility. And right now most cryptocurrency is very complicated, so it takes time to figure it out and then you find you can’t buy anything with it. THAT MAKES NO SENSE! It’s hard and has no easy to see benefit?
Now as in all things, there are some exceptions. You can use Bitcoin to buy everything in the South Brisbane Airport, but we can’t all go shopping in Brisbane. Am I right?

BUT THERE ARE THINGS THAT WE ALL CAN DO...CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS AND CELL PHONE TOP UP CARDS AND GIFT CARDS! 

It’s these non-sexy programs like gift card purchases with crypto or crypto debit cards, which are widespread in the world and people already know how to use them! 

So....WHAT IF WE PUT OUR COLLECTIVE ENERGY INTO GETTING A COMPANY, WHICH MAKES THESE TO LIST STEEM AS A CRYPTOCURRENCY YOU CAN USE ON THESE CARDS?

You know, the kind of cards people use all over the world???



One such company, Cryptorefils, makes such product line of basically what look like credit cards and act like credit cards, meaning people can swipe them like credit cards, but instead of loading them with FIAT LIKE DOLLARS, EUROS OR YOUR LOCAL CURRENCY YOU LOAD THEM WITH Bitcoin, Litecoin or Dash. Then when you swipe them at a retailer, the retailer gets paid in USD Dollars, EUROS or whatever the local currency is....

WOW! This programs gives those Cryptocurrencies high utility and high ease of use. They allow people to use something just like a credit card or bank debit card, so the majority of people know how to use it. They can trade it for stuff they need like food, water, electricity, pay bills or buy gadgets. This to me are the most important barriers to entry; ease of use and utility. It’s easy and it allows them to use their Crypto to buy stuff they need. 


THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. PEOPLE ALREADY BUILT THIS. WE NEED TO BE ON THAT TRAIN! 
Metaphorically of course. 

Right now there are new companies out there with this business model using Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dash. But to me we have an advantage over all these coins; zero transaction fees. If we exploit this one point we could become a ***Household Name***! And then next stop MOON !

Plus how many people own Bitcoin at $9000.00 USD per TOKEN?
Or Ethereum at $200.00 per Token?
How easy or expensive is it to mine Bitcoin, or Ethereum or Dash?
We have over one million accounts on Steem and more importantly Steem is 16 cents and people earn it every day by creating content or consuming content. Every Day and in Countries rich and Poor, all over the Earth.

**Let’s look closely at transaction fees**
All the coins used a lot for commercial transactions and transferring wealth right now, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dash have one important thing in common: Transaction Fees. These fees are a very important issue because they represent  transaction costs which reduce profits. The funny thing about being in the Steem blockchain is that because our transactions are free, we don’t think about transaction costs and we don’t see what a big plus this is for Steem. 

Currently just about all other altcoins have transaction fees, even Doge Coin! Which ironically has as one of its value points its low transaction fees. So low that there were Doge Bitcoin pairs on practically every exchange. Why? because Doge is used to move Bitcoin from point A to Point B cheaply, and you buy Bitcoin to purchase another Altcoin. Ironically there are I believe a lot of Doge transactions everyday for this reason. Many Altcoins weren’t on big exchanges and transferring your Bitcoin to those small exchanges cost a lot in mining fees, so instead people convert fiat or Bitcoin to Doge, transferred their Doge and then on the destination exchange they converted Doge back to Bitcoin. It was surprisingly cheaper then just moving the Bitcoin.
