Universe of Universal classic monster created by the Dark Universe seems to be withering before it develops. After his debut through The Mummy ended with a bad result, the future of Dark Universe was often predicted to be uncertain. This assumption is getting stronger after the studio suspends the pre-production process of Bride of Frankenstein - the second film in the Dark Universe - for reasons that are not ready yet. Now the fate of dreary began to haunt the Dark Universe, following the architect and producer Alex Kurtzman and his partner Chris Morgan decided to resign.

As reported by THR , Kurtzman is currently choosing a focus on the Star Trek series : Discovery as executive producer, and he is also involved in a number of other CBS production series . On the other hand, Morgan back wrestle franchise Fast and Furious , and now he's writing spin-offs starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham .

After losing two frontman, Dark Universe reportedly was on the edge of the horn. Not wanting this monster universe just disappeared, Universal is now exploring several options to save the Dark Universe. One of them by offering this property to a number of producers or experienced producers, and later they will be given the freedom to make a movie monster standalone that is not related to all things cinematic universe. One of the names offered by this property is the successful horror movie producer, Jason Blum , who this year collaborated with Universal via Split and Get Out .

Although there is no clarity about the continuation of Dark Universe, director Bill Condon is reportedly still involved in the Bride of Frankenstein , only this movie is no longer scheduled to air February 14, 2019
