First Photo Spin-Off 'Bumblebee' Show Hailee Steinield

Although Transformers: The Last Knight reaps a lot of negative responses, Paramount does not seem to give up with this robot franchise because the studio is preparing to launch the spin-off Bumblebee . Highlighting the action of the yellow robot who is also the right hand Optimus Prime, the film set in the 80s this mendapuk Hailee Steinfield as the main actor. And through Empire magazine, the studio also released the first photo featuring Steinfield, alongside a classic VW Beetle car with a distinctive yellow Bumblebee.

Steinfield himself plays Charlie Watson, an 18-year-old girl who works as a mechanic after school, and one day he finds Bumblebee somewhere in California. To the Empire, Steinfeld admitted the Bumblebee spin-off featured more character development when compared to other Transformers movies. He also revealed, Watson is a typical underdog character who always managed to reverse expectations, and he also established a solid relationship with Bumblebee. And to note also, VW Beetle that carried this film is a form of Bumblebee car when he appeared in the old cartoon Transformers . As a result, there will be a sensation of nostalgia for those who have ever watched the cartoons.

In addition to Steinfeld, Bumblebee also starred Pamela Adlon , John Cena , Stephen Schneider , Kenneth Choi , Abby Quinn and John Ortiz . Although not yet confirmed, Cena reportedly will portray a government secret agent for Sector Seven operations. Meanwhile, the director's stick is held by Travis Knight , who previously presented Oscar -nominated animated film, Kubo and the Two Strings . Travis's involvement is expected to make Bumblebee appear impressive, and improve the negative trends that have been coloring the Transformers franchise.

Bumblebee will be released December 21, 2018.
