<div class="text-justify"> Greetings dear readers, today I come to develop a topic related to the important function that B lymphocytes have in the process of pregnancy. Sometimes during pregnancy we women usually present some kind of infection or virus. The content that I am going to present will clarify a little bit the panorama about it.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> The immune system is considered as a kind of barrier that protects us from all viruses and bacteria found in our environment. During pregnancy, a series of immunological changes arise as a consequence of the adaptation of the baby's new genes that come from the father and that are totally unknown to the pregnant woman.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> Currently, different researches are being developed to clarify the function of B lymphocytes in the adaptation process of the mother's immune system during pregnancy. B lymphocytes or B cells are understood as the group of white blood cells that have the property of secreting antibodies, in such a way that they protect us from toxins and cellular microorganisms.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> Although the mother's uterus is considered a privileged place that allows the immune development of the embryo, without it being affected by the mother's immune system, it was found that during pregnancy the amount of B cells decreases as a result of preventing the pregnant woman's body from rejecting the baby during its development in the womb. Among the main findings, it was corroborated that during pregnancy the amount of B cells decreases as a consequence of preventing the pregnant woman's body from rejecting the baby during its development in the womb.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> In the search for an explanation to this fact, studies were carried out on B lymphocytes that allow the behavior of the sequences of genes, DNA and RNA, this computerized method is called bioinformatics (language of genetics), where it was concluded that during the process of gestation not only the number of B cells decreases, but also the amount of activation of these cells is lower.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> This would explain why during pregnancy, women are more prone to infections, as a consequence of the low B-lymphocyte count and their low activation, as this ensures a good development of the embryo.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> It is important to highlight the care and risk that pregnant women have to infections and viruses that are in our environment and more in these times of pandemic where we are all prone to catch this virus, but they particularly have their immune system more exposed by the previously developed, which can bring serious complications to the pregnant woman, such as a possible infection of the newborn, premature birth and in the worst case scenario the death of both.</div>
