# Featured Steemsilvergold Member of the Week
This is the very first week of steemsilvergold featured member of week. Every week, we will be doing members interviews and asking 10 simple questions relating to steemit, silversilvergold, stacking and a scenario gag question for giggles. I have choose the first member to get the ball rolling and will give it to the community to pick the next. You can simply write in the comments who you would like to get interviewed for next week. I choose @sevinwilson because he is a solid member, he supports the community in loads of different ways weather that be putting out great posts, interacting through comments, taking part in group buys, raffles and contests are even being the man who brought us the Steem silver round. We can always count on Sevin and with his Stackitis, we got him hooked :D

# Featured Steemsilvergold Member

**1/ When and how did you find Steemit.com and why did you hang around and continue to post and be active?**
I stumbled upon Steemit by way of Steem on Coinmarketcap. One day back in March 2017 I was checking the price of Bitcoin and like I often do I will sort the coins by price both ascending and descending. If I haven’t heard of the coins I will investigate more. At this time, Steem was trading around roughly $.10, but was up over 30% on the day. After clicking on steem and going to the website, it lead me to Steemit. That same day I created an account and was approved not too long after. My first post received a little bit of popularity somehow, but now I realized how lucky I got that day. There ended up being many comments on that post and some of the users I still interact with today. I have never been a huge fan of Facebook, but it just felt like more people here on Steemit thought similarly to myself. @Nepd was one of my first friends on here and we both enjoyed talking about sports and he was one of the main reasons I stayed on here!

**2/ How did you find out about Steemsilvergold and what appealed to you to make you sign up?** 
Out of my first ten posts or so, a good portion were related to precious metals. I used the #silver or #gold tags and received a few followers who were interested in the metals. I followed many of those users back and then one day, one of them resteemed something about #Steemsilvergold onto my timeline. At the time, @hgmsilvergold was commanding the #Steemsilvergold community, and there were only 20-25 members that had joined thus far. I was interested in this immediately, as I have been a hardcore believer in the metals for nearly ten years and I rarely have found individuals who share similar interests in the metals. So to find a community where people talk about metals it was a no-brainer for me.

**3/ How long ago and what first got you interested in precious metals?** 
Thinking back to my college days, circa 2010, I saw an advertisement from Porter Stansberry about being able to invest in silver below melt value caught my eye. It took me an hour to watch the video and read through his post and was turned off by how his message came across, but it got me interested in the metals nonetheless. I then started Googling some stuff about the metals to see what would be the best way to invest in them. A few days later, I found out about the local coin shop right down the road from the office. The next time payday came around, I stopped in and purchased a little bit of silver, some 10oz bars to be exact.

**4/ In your own mind. What type of stacker would you class yourself as if you could only pick one type and why?**
Historically I have been a lowest cost stacker in terms of the metals to an extent as I have preferred maples and eagles instead of random rounds. In my collection, I have a few numismatics, but I mostly just stack for weight. As I have gotten older though I believe I will stack more numismatics than for weight as silver can take up a lot of room.

**5/ Do you plan your precious metal buys with goals in mind are do you go with the flow and stack here and there?** 
I have goals in mind when it comes ultimately to the amount of ounces of silver and gold I ultimately want, but I do not plan my buys anymore. Back when I was working a 9-5 job and getting paid regularly, I planned my buys when my paycheck would drop. Every two weeks, I would head to the local coin shop and buy an ounce or two, most of the time just opting for American Silver Eagles. I would like to get back to stacking on a more regular schedule and hope to do so later this year, but for now I am more of a stack here and there kind of guy.

**6/ We are on the 2nd year of the Steem silver round which is your brainchild. How did you come up with the idea and what motivated you to take control of the project for the community?** 
It has always been a dream of mine to have a silver round that I was an integral part in creating. For years I was active on TFMetals website and always thought it would be awesome to have a round that was dedicated to Turd Ferguson and his loyal band of followers, aka Turdites. Most of the users on the site thought it would be cost prohibitive and even Turd himself said, “Maybe one day”. Well, TFMetals ended up teaming with Scottsdale Mint (I believe) and minting their own coin that was dedicated to their website. After seeing the #SteemSilverGold community grow, I reached out to my buddy @raybrockman and threw the idea out to him. His response was, “I am down with it brother” and just like that the idea was starting to become a reality. I wrote an initial post about a “Steemit coin”, which I later realized would be violating a copyright from Steemit, Inc. The response was overwhelmingly positive and so I began to put things in motion. I had already contacted a few mints about them doing the fabricating of the rounds, but when someone reached out that @phelimint and @ejr had a small private mint I thought it would be perfect to work with them on the Steem Silver Round. After building a few e-commerce websites in the past I had no problem taking control of the 2018 Steem Silver Round. Last year @phelimint and @ejr did a hell of a job with the round and it came out incredibly well done so there is a high bar to achieve for the 2018 Steem Silver Round.

**7/ If you could only stack 1 coin, bar are round. Which coin/series/bar would you pick and why?** 
Being a United States citizen I have always been a fan of the American Silver Eagle, but I am heading north of the border with this one and choosing the 10oz silver bar from the Royal Canadian Mint. These are often times close to spot and have a serial number, which have always excited me. Although not as liquid as a round, this bar has always been my favorite.

**8/ On a scale of 1-10 scoring yourself on stackitis stress levels. What would be your highest level ever rasied, what were your symptoms and how did you overcome it?** 
My stackitis stress level reached an all-time high on November 6, 2012 when President Obama was re-elected to his second term where my stackitis stress level reached a 10, the highest level on this scale. I assumed this event would be positive for the price of silver and gold. My symptoms included:
-	a burning sensation (to purchase some metals)
-	a 102 fever (with the only solution – more silver)
-	a headache (for not having purchased any metals recently)
That night I went on Provident Metals and purchased some metals to overcome my stress and just like that I was back to normal. 
<br>
**9/ Scenario – You are on a date with Precious. How do you set the mood and sway her into giving your bigger upvotes?** 
First with precious, I’ll bring her a nice glass of red round and start playing some relaxing music. I’ll fire up the grill and cook her of my favorite food, which is below. If that doesn’t fancy her I’ll try and woo her with some silver rounds. My first attempt will be a 2018 Steem Silver Round, which I will work. If for some reason that doesn’t work I will pull out a coveted 2017 Steem Silver Round. Now that has to work, right? By this time, if nothing has worked I may have to really put on my thinking cap. I think the next attempt to woo her into bigger upvotes will be to tell her how beautiful she is and how she has helped people all over the world. Still, if nothing has worked I may have to hit the reset button on the server. :)

**10/ What’s your most favourite food ever?**
A ribeye steak cooked medium rare. Ever since I was a little kid I have a steak fanatic. It doesn’t matter what cut I get of steak, but ribeye is my favorite, followed by Filet mignon and New York strip.

There were 2 users that were nominated and sponsored but after a review of the accounts, i could see that they were not producing precious metals content and would be instantly on the next cull list.
