Teodor is ready to dry

<p>This morning I finished my own homage to Teodor Currentzis, an orchestra conductor who is also an interesting character of the music scenes of our time. I was so intrigued by one of photo that I watched on the cover of an italian magazine that I couldn't resist to paint something similar using my own illustrative style ^_^</p>
<p>His face and his style is very interesting, he looks like a sort of rock star and a sort of "enfant terrible" in the field of classical music, but watching some video of him, we can understand how many passion come from him during his work!</p>
<p>I like to be inspired by characters of our time, sometimes I love to sketch faces and body while I'm reading an article, a book or simply when I'm watching a pic online. Inspiration can come from a lot of different things around me ^_^</p>
<p>This artwork is an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size, but I think I'll work on something more realistic about him ^_^</p>

While reading the end you amazed me to be honest! How were you able to use oil paint on paper? Is the paper made for oil paint? If so I would love to know where to get it! :D

I often use simple 200 gsm paper (the same that I can use for my home printer). I use a tecnique that my hubbt teached me some years ago: you have to use the oil colors mixing them with a lot of turpentine, as the same way you use water for watercolors. The effect is nice and they dry very fast ^_^ You can also try to use this tecnique on a simple scrap of  a old cardboard box ^_^
