THE TAJ MAHAL
The Taj Mahal is a cenotaph i.e.a tomb or monument. It was built at Agra by the Mughal Emperor, shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mintak Mahal. The construction of this wonderful monument began in 1632. It took twenty years to complete the construction. About twenty thousand workers worked hard to finish it in 1654. This magnificent mausoleum was designed by a Persian architect named Ustad Isha. The Taj Mahal is great example of massive grandeur and classic beauty. It is called one of the seven wonders of the world . Thousands of tourists from home and abroad come to visit this marvellous tomb each and every year.
Some years ago I visited the Agra. There I captured some pictures. Taj Mahal is one of them. So I have decided to share.........
