# New Announcement!!

Starting Round 10 of the Bad Karaoke Contest, we will revert back to the one-week round schedule and eliminate the voting post. The Bad Karaoke Contest has received many regular entries and we are confident the contest is popular enough to stand its ground each week.

Starting Round 10- we will be holding the Bad Karaoke Contest rounds each week and contestants will be urged to ask their followers to upvote their entry in the original contest post. We will be using the total number of votes on the original post to tally up the final voting count.

We encourage all our contestants to enter as soon as the contest post is published.

Remember also to post your entry into the comments of the starting round posts!! (very important!)

The total score of each entry will include the total upvoting of the best Bad Karaoke in the comments of the original entry post. (One vote per Steemit account.) Be sure to upvote and/or comment on your favorite video and encourage others to join!

Because of the change in SBD and Steem prices, post rewards are given both SBD and Steem. Round Eight's Bad Karaoke prizes will include both SBD and Steem from the original post and the reminder post. Round Eight Prize is 2.469 SBD and 2.559 Steem.
 
Winners of the contest will receive:
• 1st Place- 50% of SBD/Steem of original post-payout
• 2nd Place- 30% of SBD/Steem of original post-payout
• 3rd Place- 20% of SBD/Steem of original post-payout
 
 
Once the votes are tallied, we divide the SBD/Steem payout of the original post between the winners. Please allow up to two days for the transfer.

This week @snook is off to go camping, and can not be here to vote for Round Eight. Fortunately, our Bad Karaoke contestants have been performing their duty of sending their followers to vote on their entries and have done the voting for us!

We used the voting tally from the voting post to determine the winners this round, therefore there will be no judges' votes this round.

If you would like to join in the Bad Karaoke Fun, follow these guidelines.

•	Make a post of your entry or leave a video in the comments.
•	Post your entry on your Steemit page and use the tag #badkaraoke.
•	**Copy a link to your post and include it in a comment on the post.**
•	Tell all your friends to vote for your entry by upvoting your comment.
•	Upvote the post before the end of the payout period.
•	If you want the contest to grow please resteem the post.

Judges for the Bad Karaoke contest are @snook and @simgirl. 
The entries will be scored 1-5 (30 possible points a week) on the following factors:
• Originality- Picking a song that is not sung often, or is very hard to sing.
• Performance- Hand gestures or creative puppets, and passion for song.
• Community Favorite- Amount of upvotes in the comments.

We didn't know what this contest would turn into when we took the leap down the karaoke rabbit hole, but you all have made it into a fun and spoon-loving good time and we love you all for it!
