Paintings of the past era: front-line roads of the Kuban

Hello, Steemians! Hi, friends! Today, before the wonderful victory of the Russian people, I would like to show you pictures of wartime paintings created by our talented artists.

During the great Patriotic war, the Kuban, like many other regions of the country have experienced misfortune and destruction, she was captured by the enemy. With August 1942 Krasnodar as much as 6 months was in occupation, and only to February 1943 in city was able enter Red Army, and those terrible 186 days for local population ended.

During these may holidays, I decided to show an exhibition of paintings and sculptures, paintings and drawings created at different times by artists, veterans and people who remember those harsh war years not by hearsay.

To begin the story of the events of those years, I want work that opens the exhibition, dedicated to the liberation of the Kuban from the Nazi invaders. This work of Vyacheslav Sheveleva "Restoration". The painting was created on the basis of military photography, here are the artist's parents. However, this is not just a photo of a man and a woman, it is a human memory of our roots, memories of those who fought bravely and gave their lives for our bright future.

Much was and images of outstanding photographers in wartime: the work of Georgi Zelma, Emmanuel Evzerihin and George Lipscombe.

On our land in heavy battles took place that lasted for weeks, in one of the school essay a girl wrote:

> The fourth of August, the day on our city flew German planes. I was at my mom's office at the time. It was dropped a few bombs that fell near our house. When my mother and I came home, all the glass in the Windows rose and we did not know what to do. On the corner was demolished a home and injured people were lying everywhere logs, with iron roofs...

Veterans remember those terrible years when the whole country was under arms and went to defend their native land, even the girls.

Many Kuban artists chose the theme of war as the main theme for their work. So, the work of Alexander Gluhovtsev devoted partisans.

The guerrillas appear suddenly, at the right time, but what it cost them. Sleepless nights, cold, hunger, they don't even know where will have the next time to be. Wore a Cup, a flask, bullets, a helmet is the most necessary, but still such sacred triangles-letters from home.

The exhibition and illustrations of Alexander Cecina to the book "When the Kuban was fighting". I liked the design, the chronology of paintings, many documentary photographs.

Those who could not leave the city before the occupation were in terrible conditions. The children were frightened and, remembering those days, they wrote:

The Germans immediately went to Rob the civilian population. They went home and took whatever they wanted. Abused residents, frantically laughed, trying to Moo like cows, showing his contempt...

I was impressed by a series of drawings by Sergei Dudko, which are painted with ordinary coal on paper.

So, Sergei is portrayed as "Partisan liaison" (the drawing refers to a series of "defense of Caucasus").

All his sketches are based on documentary facts and reveal many events of wartime. And this sketch the artist made in 1985 and it is called "light of guerrilla fires". Look at the features of this person, how much sadness in his eyes.

столько то лет прошло со времен войны, а по-прежнему каждое фото военных лет вызывает слезы на глазах. Такая тяжелая война была для русского народа...и победили несмотря ни на что. Спасибо большое за пост, Светочка!
