[Catharanthus Roseus](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catharanthus_roseus), (Madagascar vinca) commonly called: **Chabelita, Teresita, Isabelita, Vinca Del Cabo, Vinca Rosa, Vinca Rosada, Vicaria (in Cuba), Vicaria Blanca and Violeta Blanca (in Camagüey)**. In **Venezuela** it receives the common name of **Precious or Good afternoon**.

This species is mainly cultivated as an ornamental plant. They are selected for their longer flowering period, year-round in tropical conditions, from spring to late fall in temperate climates.

They prefer full sun and well-drained soil. There are numerous ornamental cultivars with flowers of different shades from the original ones: white, mauve, orange, scarlet, reddish-orange; and Combination between them.
