Earn Cash Instead of Burning Cash
# Storage is a great business. 

After years of overproduction, natural gas prices are hitting nine-month highs of $3.55 per million British thermal units (MMBTU).  Investors have hated natural gas for many years so this positive price action is a bullish sign.

The way to take advantage of this change is to collect ash on a top natural gas producer, Cabot Oil and Gas (COG).  The $11 billion natural gas producer operates in Pennsylvania.  Prime real estate for the coming US East Coast cold snap.  Its drilling costs are the lowest in the region and production levels are the highest (shows how efficient the company is).  Even in this low natural gas price environment Cabot has been generating some nice positive free cash flow.

The natural gas price breakout could lead to another huge rally.

The safest way to take advantage of these moves is by collecting cash in the form of put selling. 
 Natural gas and other commodities markets have a habit of teasing investors with false breakouts. 

## Trade details:
**Sell to open, the December 21, $24 puts on Cabot for about $1 using a limit order.** Instantly earn 4.3%.

At expiration if shares are above $24: put sellers will keep the $1 for an annualized return of 33.1%. 

At expiration if shares are below $24: put sellers will buy shares at more than 5% discount to recent prices. If you end up having to buy shares the most likely scenario will be to own the stock for a while and look for opportunities to sell covered calls.

For protection use a stop loss at $21.
