สวัสดีค่ะ เพื่อนๆชาวสตีมอิทที่รัก เพื่อนๆชอบทานแมลงกันหรือเปล่าคะ? ทราบกันหรือไม่คะว่าการทานแมลงนั้นเป็นอะไรที่อินเทรนมากในตอนนี้ค่ะ ถึงกับมีคนให้คำนิยามอาหารจานแปลกเหล่านี้ยกให้เป็น *"อาหารแห่งโลกอนาคต"* กันแล้วนะคะ  วันนี้น้ำหวานขอถือโอกาสพาทุกคนไปชิมอาหารจากแมลงต่างๆ ที่ถูกรังสรรค์และจัดเรียงอย่างสวยงามและปรานีต ภายใต้คอนเซป *fine dining* ที่สวยหรูแต่ราคาไม่แรงกันเลยดีกว่าค่ะ 


Hello Steemit Friends, how familiar are you guys with eating insects? Here in Thailand the edible insects has long been a part of our famous delicacies for over centuries. They can easily be spotted from street side vendors anywhere in tourist districts but those vendors ain't the most hygienic for consumption though as most of the insects are the ones they catch from the wild. Today you are on board with me to explore *"Fine-dining"* concept of these little bugs on plates which are believed to be *"Food from the future"* which are farm-raised insects that are human food grade and safe to eat!

เรื่องของการกินแมลงไม่ใช่เรื่องแปลกอะไรในบ้านเรา แมลงนั้นหากินได้ทั่วไปตามมุมตรอก ซอก ซอย ที่มาในรูปแบบรถเข็น ทั้งตั๊กแตนทอด จิ้งหรีดคั่ว น้ำพริกแมงดา รถด่วน หรือแม้กระทั้งหนอนไหมอบกรอบที่มีขายตาม 7-11 และห้างชั้นนำนั้นเป็นเรื่องที่เห็นกันจนชินตา

 แต่การที่ FAO (องค์การอาหารและเกษตรแห่งสหประชาชาติ) ได้ทำการวิจัยแและรายงานว่า *แมลง*คืออาหารที่จะมาทดแทนแหล่งโปรตีนของมนุษย์โลกในยุคของภาวะการขาดแคลนอาหาร ที่มีแนวโน้มจะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตอันใกล้ สืบเนื่องมาจากการกว้านซื้อที่ดินทำกินของชาวนาและผู้เลี้ยง ปศุสัตว์ เพื่อสร้างเป็นคอนโด แหล่งชอปปิ้ง สนองคนเมืองในทุกวันนี้อาจทำให้เนื้อสัตว์มีราคาสูงขึ้นและอาจจะคลาดแคลนเนื้อสัตว์ลงในที่สุด ดังนั้นแมลงจึงเข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญในจุดนี้ค่ะ
  



Since **Food and Agriculture of United Nations (FAO)** reported that bugs and insects might be an option for our protein source in the future where most of the lands that are used for framing and agricultural have been bought to build high-raised buildings and turn into shopping malls and such; resulting in the drastic increasing price of meat and poultry. It might be a good idea to give it a try now.

ที่ร้าน **"Insects in the Backyard"** ภายใน ครีเอทีฟ สเปซที่ชื่อ  **"ช่างชุ่ย"** ได้เปิดบริการตั้งแต่เดือน กรกฎาคมที่ผ่านมา ทางร้านเสริฟอารหารตั้งแต่ อาหารเรียกน้ำย่อย จานหลัก ไปจนถึงของหวาน ที่ล้วนมีส่วนผสมของแมลงทั้งสิ้น บรรยายทั้งภายนอกและภายในมีความเก๋ไก๋มากเลยทีเดียวค่ะ




Here at *Chang Chui* creative district Bangkok you will find an interesting looking restaurant decorated with giant insects' parts on their roof. **"Insects in the Backyard"** is where they serve a full-course menu from appetizers to main dishes and desserts that feature crickets, caterpillars, water beetles, ant eggs, silkworms and many more.

มาลองชิมกันค่ะว่า เมนูแต่ละอย่างที่หวานได้สั่งไปนั้นจะมีหน้าตา รสชาติ และ ราคา ประมาณไหนกัน เริ่มจากจานแรก เรียกน้ำย่อยกันด้วย นาโช ชิปส์ สไตล์แมกซิกันโรยด้วยแมลงนานาชนิดค่ะ (175 บาท) อร่อยค่ะ กรอบๆมันๆกินเพลินๆเลยค่ะ


Let's find out how are these dishes, will it be worth trying? My first dish was an appetizer; Nacho Chips with Various Insects (175 baht).  Surprisingly go very well with the nacho chips. Their special mayonnaise sauce was superb with coconut flakes. I loved it.

ส่วนอาหารจานหลักจานแรกนั้นคือ ปลากระพงย่าง ทานคู่กับ ซอสไข่มดแดง และสลัลข้าวโพดเซลซ่า (265 บาท) อร่อยมากๆๆๆ ให้  5 ดาวเลยค่ะจานนี้ ซอสไข่มดแดงมีความละมุนและกลมกล่อมออกเค็มๆตัดด้วยสลัดข้าวโพดและมะเขือเทศ เนื้อปลาย่างจนหนังกรอบหอม เนื้อเน้นๆไม่มีก้างให้ลำบากปาก ตักแมงมันทอดกรอบเข้าปากเคี้ยวกรุบๆ จัดว่าเด็ดสุดๆเลยค่ะ


My first main dish was Grilled Sea Bass with ant "caviar" Buerre Blanc Sauce and Blackened Corn Salsa (265 bath). I personally loved the ant caviar sauce, it was savory and very creamy in a good way. It goes so well with the corn salsa and the fish, amazing combination of different tastes on your palette. Not to forget those deep fried crunchy insects, despite the look of it better than potato chips honestly!!

จากที่สองของจานหลักที่หวานสั่งคือ พาสต้าเส้นสดซอสเพสโต้จิ้งหรีดทอด (265 บาท) เส้นสดทำดีมากค่ะจานนี้ถึงจะมีแค่เส้นสดและซอสเพสโต้ก็อร่อยแล้วค่ะ ประทับใจเส้นจนขอลองสั่งจานเส้นเพิ่มอีกหนึ่งอย่าง ส่วนจิ้งหรีดถือว่ามาแกล้มๆค่ะ เคี้ยวเพลินๆ


Here comes the 2nd main dish; Crickets Pesto with Fresh Homemade Pasta (265 baht). The freshly made Fettuccine was so good that I had to order another type of pasta to try some more.  The crickets were good on their own which the pesto pasta sauce can go without; eating these 2 separately will be just fine too.

จานพาสต้าซอสเนื้อที่ผสมผงจิ้งหรีดป่น อันนี้ซอฟๆสำหรับมือใหม่ที่ยังใจไม่ถึงลองกินเป็นตัวๆนะคะ ถือว่าเซฟๆค่ะ  (จำราคาไม่ได้ แฮะๆ)



Another pasta dish with Bolognese grated crickets sauce; this one right here is for the newbies who don't dare eating the whole insects. You can hardly tell there are crickets blended with the sauce. (Can't remember the price of this one).

โบราณว่ากินคาวไม่กินหวานสันดารไพร่ จัดไอศรีมตบท้ายซักหน่อยแล้วกันนะคะ ไหนๆก็ไหนๆ ถ้วยนี้สนนราคาอยู่ที่ (119 บาท) ส่วนตัวชอบอาหารคาวมากกว่าค่ะ พอมาเจอหนอนไหมบนไอติม เหมือนเอามาแปะๆไว้เฉยๆ ผงแมลงปนให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนกินถั่วแต่มีความแข็งๆหน่อยๆ เนื้อไอศรีมอร่อยค่ะหอมวานิลลาชั้นดี มันๆ ชื่นใจดีค่ะ


And of course dessert was very necessary. How about Ice cream with silk worms? (119 baht). I found that the insects go well with savory dishes better than sweet desserts. The silk worms were nutty but didn't compliment the flavor of the vanilla ice cream and the grated insect powder rather gave a hard texture. However the vanilla ice cream was great. Still, overall is still worth trying.

นอกจากทานอาหารที่ร้านแล้ว ทางร้านมี น้ำมันมะกอกดองแมงดาตัวผู้ตัวเป้งให้เอากลับไปทำกับข้าวที่บ้านด้วยนะคะ น่าสนใจทีเดียว



Other than dine-in, the restaurant also displays bottles of olive oil with a giant male water beetle inside each bottle for sell in case you want to bring home and dress your salad next time. Exotically amusing.

เป็นยังไงกับบ้างคะกับอาหารค้ำมื้อนี้ อยากลองไปทานดูกันบ้างมั๊ยคะ?  ใครสนใจพุ่งตัวไปที่ปิ่นเกล้า ครีเอทีฟสเปซ **ช่างชุ่ย** กันได้เลยนะคะ นอกจากร้านอาหารเก๋ๆร้านนี้แล้ว ยังมีกิจกรรมและร้านรวงที่น่าสนใจให้ไปเดิน ช๊อป ชม ชิล อีกมากมายเลยค่ะ ค่าเข้า 40 บาทสามรถเอาไปแลกน้ำเปล่าได้ 1 ขวด และเดือนนี้มีนิทัศการงานของพ่อหลวงเราให้ชมเต็มไปหมดเลยค่ะ ลองไปกันให้ได้นะคะ

You are right! Generally bamboo worms and crickets taste good, way better than potato chips! If you have a chance try them!!

ใช่เลยค่ะ มีโปรตีนและสารอาหารมากมาย แนะนำให้ทานแบบที่เลี้ยงในฟาร์มนะคะ เพราะแบบที่จับมามีพยาธิค่ะอาจจะเป็นอันตรายมากกว่าเป็นประโยชน์

Omg this is an AWESOME post!!! I was told of the possibility that we would have to eat insects a while ago and thought it was pretty interesting but the fact you just had a whole meal of insects shows that it is possible! Which dish was your favourite?

To be honest, pretty lucky that you guys have this in Thailand, I can't imagine something like this in Australia any time soon lol

I loved my sea bass the most but all were great!! I don't think Australia would adopt this idea any time soon for real since all the bugs, insects and snakes you guys have there are too deadly!! People may get the wrong concept, you'd never know! 

If you are planing to travel aboard anytime soon then put Thailand on top of your list, you will seriously fall for it here! I'm so glad you enjoy my post though, not too many people are willing to click in. I'm guessing it's because I started the post of with Thai language.. But it's for a good course in term of promoting a diversity on Steemit so I kinda have to choose between being the good guy and getting ignored from the majority, choosing to promote the community or the ignorant who just goes ahead and post in English for a chance of bigger audiences. It's quite discouraging seeing some influencers posting in English with some lame contents but getting upvotes like crazy just because of who they are in the community to be honest. But then again I am nobody so this is the best I can do for Steemit, hoping it will pay off someday.

Haha you are right, we are home to many deadly insects and snakes but to be honest, I never even think about it!! I think they overdo it on TV and on the media (as usual), but I think Australia is not quite there to accept bugs yet ;) 

I think you just have to keep doing you, eventually the people trying to post in English with lame content will either get tired of it or people will get tired of it. It gets hard to try and be someone you're not, so I think just keep doing you and hey I'll still be reading your posts! :)
