Días de relax en Búzios – Brasil

Luego de pasar una semana maravillosa conociendo Río de Janeiro, me aventuré hacia una pequeña ciudad costera con fama de tener bonitas playas y animado ambiente.

Se trata de Búzios, una población que está a unas tres horas al este de Río, en una zona conocida como Región de los Lagos o Costa del Sol.

Búzios forma parte del estado de Río de Janeiro y está en una península con unas 17 playas. De ser un sencillo pueblo de pescadores saltó a la palestra mundial en los años sesenta porque la famosa actriz francesa Brigitte Bardot vacacionó allí con su novio brasileño y los paparazzi de la época lo divulgaron dándole notoriedad al lugar.

De hecho, el paseo marítimo ubicado cerca del centro, se llama Orla Bardot y allí hasta hay una estatua de la artista.

Es fácil orientarse en Búzios, no es muy grande. Al llegar a la parada donde me dejó el autobús, pregunté dónde quedaba el centro y me fui caminando, aunque mi mochila pesaba muuucho...

No tenía habitación reservada, así que pregunté tarifas en algunas posadas y me quedé en un hostal de la Rua das Pedras, que es como la calle principal de la ciudad, donde se concentran tiendas, restaurantes y sobre todo bares que en las noches arman la fiesta.

El principal atractivo de este lugar son las playas, distribuidas en las tres localidades de la península, más la del continente: Ossos, Manguinhos, Armaçao de Búzios y Rasa. Por eso los tres días que pasé acá fueron de puro relax, mar, sol y arena.

Como dije al principio, en Búzios hay unas 17 playas, yo no las conocí todas pero los dos primeros días estuve en Praia do Canto, Armaçao, Ossos, Azeda y Azedinha, dos Amores, Joâo Fernandes y Joâo Fernandinho, estas dos últimas con muy buena visibilidad para observar la vida marina con una sencilla máscara de buceo.

Lo único digamos no tan positivo es que por su cercanía al centro de la ciudad, siempre hay mucha gente en estas playas. Quizá la mejor hora para evitar las multitudes es temprano en la mañana porque al ser Búzios un lugar famoso por las largas fiestas nocturnas, la mayoría de la gente suele ir a la playa más tarde.

Quise alejarme un poco de la multitud y al tercer día visité Praia da Tartaruga y Praia das Virgens, a las que se llega por un camino de tierra. La primera amplia y de suave oleaje y la segunda pequeña y rodeada por rocas, ambas muy bellas.

Mi estadía en Búzios fue la antesala a mi recorrido por otros bellos lugares costeros del estado de Río de Janeiro ubicados en lo que se conoce como la Costa Verde, de los que hablaré en mis próximas publicaciones.
