<h2>How it’s going down right now and living just a couple hour’s drive from the North Korean Border does make me wonder how it will affect me.</h2>

I think if I was Chinese I wouldn’t have to worry so much because I would be a local and at home.  Being an expat, should China suddenly close its borders I’d be trapped here.  Who is to say they won’t at least temporarily. Their political system doesn’t need to ask for approval, they can do what they want and answer to no one.

The people to really suffer would be our friends in Seoul.  If America strikes the North for any reason the response would be to annihilate the South Korean capital which is within shouting distance of the border practically.  North Korea has hundreds of heavy artillery pointed at Seoul.

Without a doubt USS Carl Vinson Aircraft Carrier Strike force would neutralize all of the North’s artillery using drones, stealth fighters, missiles, heavy ship based artillery and of course helicopters are all available.  It would probably take few hours’ maybe even days as North Korea has been preparing for that day for decades.  They would have enough time set Seoul on fire and devastate the city within just 20 minutes of first firing.

Then there is the incredibly remote possibility the North tries to Nuke someone or several people.  There is more than just the use of missiles when nuking.  American military admits that the North has more subs then they can keep track of them all at once.  Though the subs are old and lack technology to compete with USA’s subs they certainly have numbers going for them.

Depending the way the wind blows the nuclear fallout could land on Dalian and other parts of China.  That would piss off China so I am certain this would not be caused by North Korea, they know not to do that.  However the current America government might not take that in to consideration or care.  Though I am sure they wouldn’t want the same results.

As the USS Carl Vinson heads full to South Korea to deter Kim Jun-Un from making a huge mistake that could set off WW3.  It was heading to Australia for war exercises in the Indian Ocean.  Even though it was reported on the news to be on the way to Korea it was actually leaving Singapore and passing through Indonesian waters, the wrong way by 3,500 miles.  Well, both the Navy and the White House say it was a communication error and the Naval Strike Force will arrive in Korea in a week or so.

I would expect things to accelerate slowly and have at least some sort of notice to get the hell out of China before it’s too late but I can’t bank on that.  Good thing I got some Crypto in the event they prevent me from taking money out of the country.  

**They are accelerating.** China, just last week, has deployed 150,000 solder’s on the North Korean border to ***“control the flow of refugees fleeing Korea”.***  That’s a lot of solders just to manage poor farmers that will also be fighting to get past their own security forces.  We all know how they can’t leave even under the best of times.  So yes, all sides are beefing up their presence.

The location I’m in is not going to be easy for me to get to a border that would be friendly.  The closest would be South Korea but that's 400km across the ocean.  An ocean filled with war ships from at least 3 countries, probably more by the time I need to cross it, under cover of darkness.

To the north I would have Mongolia which might let catch a flight out or Russia which would probably let me pass through due to having some Russian DNA in me.  Going west would be incredibly difficult to do and expensive.

China could shut down the internet and close the exit points while freezing all foreign bank accounts.

**Let’s hope it doesn’t get to that point.**  I do know where some bomb shelters are, the city has them scattered all over the place.  Some even have signs pointing to them.  Dalian is a naval city, their navy is often at port here resupplying.  There are also barracks and shipyards and a Military College.  This city is ready for battle, a long hard fought battle.  Historically speaking it has been fought over many times by the Russian, Japanese and Chinese since before WW1.
