Infrared Photography - Mitch's Pond
<center>Mitches Pond was a sweet secret location I discovered at Graves Mountain. I did not know about it until using satellite images to survey the property before I arrived.

I do not know much about "Mitch's Pond" I did not ask anyone about it as I was afraid I would be told not to go there. My googling has not found much else. 

<p>

I did not see any boot or tire tracks, though a did find alot of pig and deer tracks. I also found some great stones so seems post people do not explore this area much.

There are high rock walls surrounded by waist high grass, I did not walk over there as It was late summer and could be filled with critters. Though Im sure there were some nice rocks to be found, as rain washes away the wall depositing gems at the base.

The walking path back to the main quarry was about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. With little to no shade, I tried not to stop on my way back to the group of other rockhounds. I did not see anyone else the whole time I was back at Mitch's Pond.
