Right? OMG it was a hard recovery. The flight alone kicked my ass, combined with the no sleep and too-many-people-to-hug/too-many-things-to-see problems, I was done for. I don't even know how you did it. Hats off to you, my friend.

All your points are great, and I hope the money comes through if you think you can pull it off. I'm not even planning for it. Bangkok is way too big a city for my taste, and as much as I want to explore Thailand and area, I want to do it over a month or so, with my family. I do think it's a great area for Steemfest, allowing Steemians from other places to attend, just not me this time around, I'm pretty sure. So glad I got to meet you in Poland!

Hope you can make it or win a ticket! But can imagine the doubts. Really sorry to hear the mobility is a painful struggle. Hope it will improve someday?

I have never been to a steemfest. There will be SIN (Steem in Nigeria, i think it means) over here but i am not yet certain that i would attend. My constraint is mostly financial but there's also my instinctual distrust of people i have not met and the fact that i am shy in public. 
It would be good to go though. To see people and exchange ideas with people who share a common purpose, for five whole days. August is a month away. We will see how it turns out. Still keeping hope alive.

The timing was horrible for me this year as the location was announced a week after I booked by European trip with the family.  Although I could probably escape to participate, I would feel guilty of having an Asian trip for the first time without them!

From memory , taxis are cheap in Bangkok though traffic is a nightmare, but at least you shouldn't have to walk around town too much. Hopefully you'll find a way round and make it there

I really hope you can figure a way to overcome the problems and come. But it's a tough call for sure.

I'm another one of the 'Not this year' guys.  No chance.  If I go to Thailand I want to thrash around the country side not check out the ant hill city.  Even though my brother has a place in (not Bangkok but close) where I could stay.  

I have some really good friends that thrashed Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam on 250 cc Scooters for about 3 months.  That's what I'm talking about.

I would love to go period it is actually feasible for me living in Australia as I do period however that is my last week of work and I simply cannot get the time off period if it was the week after I definitely would have gone . as much as I would love to encourage you to go anyway , I do Think Mobility would be an issue. Asian cities and not very easy to navigate even if you are mobile .
