If you're looking for a price discussion, look elsewhere. This only covers the data involving returns on posts and valid criticisms.

The most popular 1% of YouTube channels are light years ahead of the bottom 99%. That's a reality and it's been a reality from the first day. Most YouTube channels make nothing, yet it doesn't stop them from posting video after video. Since people do not have an infinite amount of time to watch videos, the vast majority of YouTube channels will never be profitable when you consider the time invested compared to the average minimum wage job. This reality has not stopped YouTube from being a success. YouTube has grown into one of the most popular search engines and continues to post record profits.

Nature has always rewarded and will always reward the exceptional. This is where we get the 80-20 rule, though in some cases, it's more like the 90-10 rule or 99-1 rule.

I've seen a few criticisms where people feel angered that they don't get upvotes that help them get what they perceive as a good return. This is an interesting criticism because how much of a return are they getting on other social media?

- What's your return on Twitter?
- What's your return on Facebook?
- What's your return on Medium?

If you return is better on those platforms, then why are you using Steem? If you're using Steem as another platform (yours truly), then it's serving that function. Who cares about the return? It is doing what you intend! But if you only care about the return and Medium is a superior return, use Medium. The same is true for Twitter or Facebook. I've known several people here who've tested returns on all platforms and other social media platforms offered better returns, so they used them. You can do the same.

Check out the highest-rated Automating ETL course on Udemy, if you're interested in data. From some of the reviews:

The instructor's style and enthusiasm for the subject is infectious and makes for an enjoyable learning experience.

Great teacher and knows how to explain the topic in hand.

This does not mean there aren't valid criticisms that could enhance the platform. For instance, Steem could certainly improve their Promoted tab to attract advertisers - and I'm not talking about promising a positive return, but using the promoted tab as a way to enhance traffic. If a company is trying to sell shirts and knows that Steem's promoted tab is one of the best returns for traffic, it will use it. This is an example of a good criticism that enhances the platform - after all, if the platform offers valuable tools, it will be used by companies, which are far more profitable and beneficial than individuals. Also, if Steem doesn't, some other platform will do this and win the race - competition always exists.

Offering valid criticism is good and will enhance the platform, provided that it accepts the criticism and works with it. As for focusing on your specific return, I suggest one of the following based on the data from our sponsor:

- Use Steem as another platform for your message
- Don't use Steem if it's not giving you the return you want

In both cases, you can minimize costs while maximizing opportunities and benefit regardless of what happens. Related to this point, I have tested other social media accounts and they have offered great tools for teaching people various skills. For instance, for people who work with data involving some technology stacks, the below videos have helped them move past the problem at hand so that they could continue to help their clients - some of which you may be a part of:

As a measure of security for this account on the Steem platform, outside an incompatible rule change, this account will never be powered down or have Steem removed. In addition, if this happened due to an incompatible rule, the reason would be stated on a linked account for verification.

Since today is Thanksgiving and being thankful is a practice, I'd like to give thanks for the accounts of @cheetah and @maarnio for doing positive things for this platform in different ways. Also, they've been doing this for a while regardless of what Steem does, while some only focus on what Steem is doing rather than being consistent. I'm also grateful for @burnpost when it returns.
