<h1>Once again we are back at our local library for some musical fun! This week we had a gentleman come in and show us a very interesting assorment of instruments. Our favorite was the didgeridoo!!</h1>
<i>Of course, my morning was hectic with getting the kids ready to go, so I did not have time to get my camera and take good pictures. Please excuse my crappy cell phone pictures!</i>

<b>He demonstrated several types of the Australian instrument, the didgeridoo, <i>(which is super fun to say, by the way!)</i>, even tapping on it from time to time with a boomerang! He also told us an interesting folk tale about how they invented the first didgeridoo by watching termites hollow out a small tree and then using it to make noise. </b>

<b>It makes a very cool noise, and the sound is made by pressing your lips to the end, and making a 'raspberry' noise, like an elongated fart sound. Naturally, the kids LOVED this!

Best of all, he showed us how we could make our own didgeridoos just out of simple, inexpensive, PVC pipe! We have some lying around at home, so they have been experimenting with different widths and lengths. </b>

<b>There were other instruments he played for us, like the pipe that snake charmers use, and the ukulele, but the one everyone was most excited about was the didgeridoo.  </b>

<b>Each week, the kids earn raffle tickets and sometimes win a prize. This week, the boys each won a prize and were very excited about it! My daughter did not, but she is happy for them and hopeful for next week! </b>
