Hi, Steemers! Rally Mexico is a gravel event and Carlos Sainz sr was equaly good on both surfaces - gravel and tarmac. To be a double World Rally Champion, you have to be excelent on every surfaces. The interesting thing is that he entered to the Citroen World Rally Team in 2003 because of a sponsorship money from Telefonica Movistar. He was better then Colin McRae at the end of the 2003 season so he kept his seat while McRae lost his job for 2004. In that 2004 Sainz sr scored his last win on the gravel of Mexico.
