**인왕산은 서울의 도심을 한눈에 볼 수 있는 전망이 아주 좋은 곳이기도 합니다.**

오늘은 한양도성의 축조 역사에 대해 잠깐 알아보았는데요,


### 한양도성 축조 목적은?

> 서울 한양도성[사적 제10호]한양도성은 조선왕조 도읍지인 한성부의 경계를 표시하고 그 권위를 드러내며 외부의 침입으로부터 방어하기 위해 축조된 성이다.

> 태조 5년(1396), 백악(북악산) · 낙타(낙산) · 목멱(남산) · 인왕의 내사산(內四山) 능선을 따라 축조한 이후 여러 차례 개축하였다.

> 평균 높이 약 5~8m, 전체 길이 약 18.6km에 이르는 한양도성은 현존하는 전 세계의 도성 중 가장 오랫동안(1396~1910, 514년) 도성 기능을 수행하였다.

> 정상에서 치마바위를 지나면 탕춘대성 갈림길이 나온다.
