 You'd think for someone like Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, would have something nice to say about Bitcoin and other cryptos since it will eventually be the future of the monetary system *whether they like it or not*. 10 yrs ago, the stock market crashed. Over the past decade, we've put nothing but band-aids...temporary fixes. The centralized corrupt system can only do so much before the bubble eventually pops.  Those who don't adapt to crypto and stick with fiat are the ones who are gonna suffer.  

At the end of the day, guys like Buffet and Munger are old and are set in their ways.  But at the same time, these billionaires don't like the fact that for the first time ever, there will be an even distribution of wealth, thanks to cryptocurrency.

Never expected that from Bill Gates then again nothing surprises me again when cryptos are concerned. Like you said @stackin there is always an agenda when they try to beat down the price of bitcoin by badmouthing it that should encourage us to buy more when the market goes bearish.

But the cryptoworld is not entirely free from the corruption. 

These guys make such comments because they understand the power of blockchain and decentralization. What do you think have stopped them from investing large chunks of money in the cryptos.

A lot of corrupt people have major stakes in cryptos like Bitcoin, Steem and others. They have the freedom to do it.

Deep down inside, Bill knows the true intrinsic value of BTC and other viable alt coins.  It is not what he said but what he actually does behind the scene that matters.
