That's great! I was really having second thoughts about jiu jistsu because the gym offering the lessons is quite far from home and doesn't it need to have a sparring partner, always?

Well sparring partners are helpful to practice techniques. But even the ground movements can be done solo or on a practice dummy. I'd say you'd need at least one consistent partner to do classes with online though. But with social media there has to be 1-2 people where you live with some interest i'm sure.

I have a friend doing jiu jitsu. I think he's already way, way ahead of me.  He taught me some simple stunts for self-defense (I don't remember much of it, though) but they all need sparring partners. I hope I could talk my brother to be my practice dummy.
