<h1>Steem Basic Income</h1>
Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

<h2>Sustainability Coverage and VP Management</h2>
Sustainability Coverage is currently at 94.42% and rshares reward rate is 745,947,390 per SBI unit per day. 
The rshares reward rate for bonus units (delegation reward) is not decreased. It actually is higher, to return curation rewards to our delegators. You can help increase the sustainability coverage (and thus the rshares reward rate on regular units) by delegating to @steembasicincome.

Upvoting Reward multipliers are currently at 1.10x until our Voting Power recovers to 80%.

It only shows people that regularly upvote each other or @steembasicincome, or have high subscription levels for regular upvotes that are too big for our smaller voting accounts to deliver. That makes sense, because we have over 4800 active members that are voted by ten different accounts. All of those interrelationships would be too much for this chart.

<h3> Member spotlight: @r2cornell</h3>
We have a lot of new faces this week; it took me a bit to figure out who I wanted to spotlight. Then I saw @r2cornell hiding in the corner and I just knew it needed to be him. He has sponsored dozens of accounts for large enough subscriptions that they get very regular upvotes. 
It adds up to a lot, making him one of the few accounts that receives full 100% upvotes from each account every time he posts. Pending value that we can't deliver yet remains in pending upvote balance until we are able to boost our SP and VP enough to catch up.
If you see him lurking in our discord, scoping out how much SBI everyone has to figure out where he can sponsor for the greatest impact, give him a big thank you and high five for his ongoing support.

<h2> Enrollment </h2>
If you want to get involved, or to increase the level of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:

Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 unit in the program. You can sponsor *any* active Steemian (except for yourself), it does not have to be a current member.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. If we choose to accept SBD without refunding it, you do *not* receive extra value for it.

Enrollments are processed automatically every 144 minutes.
