I thought maybe it might motivate you by applying some collective pressure ;-) Just kidding!

I already imagined that you have too many things on your to-do list, but by publishing the request in this way, I may draw the attention of another developer, or some other Steemian, who may be able to suggest some other tool that I wasn't aware of, or some alternative way to address this issue.

I don't think so, because we are used to getting 100s of notifications for upvotes; I don't think we will receive more comments than upvotes.

In any case, whatever you're able to do in the future, it will always be appreciated. In the meantime, maybe someone else, who is less busy, can find a solution. I'll just keep checking them manually for now.
