Yesterday I wrote an article about the women who played the role of being inspirational in the artwork and portraits in the history. Today I will continue to this series with some more portraits and weird stories or rumors behind it.

#### Ariadne Abandoned by Theseus on Naxos / Angelica Kauffmann

This is just another great portrait and it painted by one of the 2 women being pioneers in  the building of **London Royal Academy**. Kauffman earned a lot of reputation because of her amazing display of mythological descriptions. In this portrait we can see the beatiful and elegant discription of her emotional state after **Theseus** leaves **Ariadne**.

#### Nude Maja / Francisco Goya

This portrait is painted for a spanish nobleman named Godoy. He used to have a broad collection of nude women portraits. This painting was found to obscene and some hints from her posture and erotic details shows that she is from lower class. Some of the critics from that era said that she is not a cute little women , she knows the fantasies of men however she can't ressist to them she is as much as maya without the clothes.

After many years goya painted her in same posture but with clothes this time . People say that he tried to make everyone to vision naked maya. Eventhough she got some characteristics with clothes we still don't know the identity of the model.

#### Music lesson / Frederic Leighton

Frederic Leighton is another name who loves orientalist portraits. Eventhough there were no reality in his displayment of east we can't deny the fact that he is a marvellous artist. He was just drawing these stuff because people were buying it more , therefore he didn't think using an european model would be problem.
