Are movies as good as they used to be?

I'm not sure what it is but I feel like I don't enjoy movies as much as I used to.   I remember when I was a kid watching movies was totally an enjoyable experience.

Now I feel like you even if I'm watching a movie I'm really just waiting for the next thing to happen.

I'm not sure why I feel this way.
