I came to Steemit three months ago with no clear direction on what I will do in this platform. I started posting some random things like one will do in the typical social media we grew up with. Even my introductory post, now that I know better is embarrassing.

### Who Am I?

https://steemitstageimages.com/DQmYCoZNghcM5S1nzviT6s2vaYBduqzZeeGzDX7tJDnoVCa/Profile.JPG
Introduction is most difficult for me. I rarely speak about myself unless absolutely necessary. I have gotten used to letting my actions speak for myself. To engage here however, words ought to be used, even actions need to be shared through words. In my blog I describe myself plainly as BPO Executive | Investor | Farmer | Partner | Father | Community Leader.

I've spent the last fourteen years right after university in the business process outsourcing industry. I started as a rank and file employee, and worked my way up to junior management, senior management, till my current role as a junior executive. I often feel that there's a lot of people in my staff who can do my role better than I can. This keeps me motivated to work harder to deserving of their trust. My team is composed of roughly 1000 staff working for one of the biggest BPO companies in Manila.
>I try to bring this aspect of my life into Steemit by writing about leadership principles and books in relation to my Steemit experience.

https://steemitstageimages.com/DQmXVLKtmenzZVjL3iP89i6NG3cmfDpgrg5mmyurC5t1GLJ/Good%20to%20Great.jpg
In "Good to Great & Steemit" for example, I borrowed seven principles from the leadership/research book "Good to Great" and spoke about how the same principles can be used in Steemit.

I compared the Level 5 Leadership concept to describe these 5 Levels of Steemians:

**Talented Individuals** - They contribute greatly to the platform by producing quality content in many different areas; art, poetry, fiction, education, agriculture, engineering, sciences, travel, and many many more. They mostly work on their own and are focused on their individual contribution.
**Team Players** - They search, join and contribute to like-minded communities within the platform.
**Group/Community Leaders** - These are administrators and moderators of communities. They provide guidance to newer Steemians within their span, they drive contribution from other members, and ensure that the objectives of the community are prioritized.
**Whales** - They are highly committed to platform and the community. They are our inspiration, our motivators, our idols. They initiate, support, and see projects through. They are crazy about growing the community further, and are investing their hard-earned money, time, and energy towards that cause.
**Big Blue Whales** - These are whales who understand that this community is not about them. They are big and influential, but they act and behave like they do not know that. To them everybody contributes, thus need to be rewarded. They are humble, and yet rigorous. They are determined and ambitious, not for themselves, but for all of us.

1. Post contents that are great because you have deep interest in the subject.
2. Post contents the give you joy and are really passionate about.
3. Post contents that the community will appreciate. This is typically the least important, but if you are here for upvotes, then you should be thinking about what other Steemians will like.

In my three months in Steemit, I have invested over $2000 in Steem. I have used this to power up both this and @dandalion's account. Our investment here is motivated by a couple of things; I believe in the future of the Steem, and I want to be able to support more fellow Steemians with upvotes. I also wanted to be able to delegate SP to groups I want to support, as a way of giving back for all the support I got to-date. I have 100 SP delegated to @minnowsupport, 100 SP delegated to @qurator, and 150 SP delegated to communal account @steemph.manila.
We are also investing and trading in the Philippine Stocks Exchange, and a crowdfunding platform for farmers; farmon.ph. Having been in Steemit for three months we have also stared accumulating bitcoins from buying the dips, and are developing interest in trading other alt-coins.
>We will continue to invest in Steemit both via writing quality content, and powering up when we have spare cash. We are also moving some of our profits from other passive income platforms to Steemit. The current goal is to grow our accounts by combined 500 SP monthly. @dandalion is 1000 SP and @steemitph is at 1500 SP excluding the delegated ones.

Both @dandalion and I were born in families of farmers. My grandparents from Bulacan were rice farmers, and her folks were coconut farmers. One of our retirement goals is to start our own goat farm and live a much simpler life away from the city. Some of my posts related to growing vegetables are:

We work together to make miniature crafts by following instructions from a famous youtuber.

https://steemitstageimages.com/DQmTBzcBw8dkspCotkYmMM2rQrwzEH3xaWpnfpmNwJrLSzr/Facebook.JPG
I've been promoting Steemit though Facebook pages and groups I manage. It is only very recently though that I shared something from Steemit in my timeline.

I shared @dandalion's work: **[My Steemit Design: Steemit as a place where beautiful things could grow](https://steemit.com/steemit/@dandalion/my-steemit-design-steemit-as-a-place-where-beautiful-things-could-grow)**. That post now have over 450 views, and I've been getting inquiries about Steemit ever since.
We will start to actively promote Steemit in other platforms and talk to our families and friends about this powerful platform. I am glad to have yet another common interest with my lovely wife @dandalion.
We have in fact involved our two daughters in one of the outreach activities with @SteemPH, you can read about that here:

It's been so far the most productive 100 days for me in the last couple of years. I am looking forward to the 365 days milestone.
