No need to push marriage down anyone’s throat. People are rushing toward it like their lives depend on it. What a perfectly designed stunt on society’s part. People are asking to get trapped into the institution that is marriage everyday. Fuck the get out of jail free card, we want the getting into jail card foreva and eva! **Happily ever after is selling like hot cakes**. Except that once home you realize the cake is cold af and it’s not as tasty as it appeared to be on the image. Want a refund? 

**As I’ve mentioned before in some of my posts, creating a problem to further offer a solution for it is a tactic of choice to get what society wants most out of its diligent little citizens: money and compliance**. In the old age people got married to ensure their economic survival. Today people get married for a host of different reasons, but love plays a central role. **We’re suckers for love even though we terribly suck at it**. The irony of it all is that the prevalent failure of marriages the world over doesn’t stop us from going back to it time and again. You failed at round 1? Don’t be afraid, you’ve got even more chance of failing at round 2! We hate to be told we can’t conquer the odds. 

If only rationality was here to save the day - or perhaps to save ourselves from buying into our own lying minds. Society plays its cards right in that it gives us the illusion that we fully know what we consent to while venturing into marriage. **But like all contracts made on the behalf of society, our signature serves as an ammunition to better fuck us over**.
