The 7th ranked Oklahoma Sooners get their 2018 College Football Season started today when they face off against the Florida Atlantic Owls. Kickoff is set for 11am Central Standard Time and the game can be seen on National Television on FOX. It will take place at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma. The Sooners are heavy favorites at -21 and the over/under is 70.5 points. The weather calls for a beautiful day with warm temps and no rain in the forecast.

The Florida Atlantic Owls may be underdogs by three touchdowns, but that does not scare them. Head coach Lane Kiffin led the Owls to their best season ever last year and has a ton of talent back on both sides of the ball.

Devin Singletary returns at running back for the Owls. He was an absolute beast in 2017 and rushed for 1,920 yards and scored 32 touchdowns. He is one of the best running backs in the country and the Owls will rely heavily on him in the first quarter to calm the nerves of the offense.

The Sooners will start their new era of football without Baker Mayfield at quarterback. The Heisman Trophy winning QB and #1 pick in the NFL Draft is now in Cleveland fighting for the starting job. But the Sooners are still loaded and Kyler Murray is ready to step in and take over the offense. He was Mayfield’s back up last year and knows how to run their system.
