Anthony Davis finished the 2017-2018 season with an MVP performance. He’s a top 5 player and a candidate for the most valuable player at the age of only 25 years old. He’s a very dominant big man since he entered the league. He averaged 28.1 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 2.6 BLKPG and a very high PER (Player Efficiency Rating) of 28.98. He carried the New Orleans Pelicans to the playoffs despite the season ending injury of his best teammate, DeMarcus Cousins. He’s one of the best defenders in the league and also a great scorer. He has outstanding athleticism and rim protection abilities as well as his great ball handling skills for a big man and being able to run the floor very well and lead the break despite his height. But all of his talents got wasted as he hasn’t been able to find any kind of playoff success and he’s never likely to get it unless he forces his way out of the mediocre New Orleans Pelicans. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are now making a move and Davis should be the next to make a move and find a team where he can find success. Today I am going to let you know the reasons why he should definitely force his way out of New Orleans and find a new home.

First one is a Big Market Team. Anthony Davis doesn’t get the media attention that he deserves as an MVP caliber player and the best big man in the league because the New Orleans Pelicans are one of league’s smallest markets. Year after year, Davis improves every aspect of his game and continues to post MVP stats but always came up short to win the MVP because of his team’s bad record. Davis must force himself on a big market like Los Angeles, Boston or Oakland. In order for him to win MVP and find true success he must join one of these teams which can be legitimate contenders and big market teams. He needs to carry a big market team to a high seed in the post season so that he will not be constantly continue to be snubbed by the media and his colleagues in voting. Joining a big market team and a legitimate contender at the same time is the best move Davis should consider.

The Golden State Warriors has become a dynasty and they are the team to beat in the last four years. They were very dominating and everybody wants to beat them. There are rumors that after the recent championship of the Warriors, they were still interested in Anthony Davis. The dubs can make a deal for Anthony Davis and create a scarier super team composed of a Big Three of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis. This is insane and very unfair to every team in the NBA. This can be the deadliest super team in the history of the game. To pull this trade, the Warriors will have to send Draymond Green and Klay Thompson to the New Orleans Pelicans. Draymond is the best defender of the Golden State Warriors and Thompson is arguably their best shooter, they are a huge sacrifice and it’s a risky trade but who wouldn’t want to have Davis in their team? With the fact that he will play alongside Durant and Curry. Golden State can be the team who has 3 of the top 5 players in the league today. NBA fans would go crazy if this happens, including me. It will shock the basketball world once again.
