Wow! That is brutal. There is a bad copy culture brewing on Steemit. Bid Bots don't help. I heard that 0.1% of users hold the majority of Steem and they are bid bot owners.

Unfortunatly plagiarism happens... I even wouldn't dare hahaha... We had a similar issue, my colleque posted a picture of a building at our work. A building you won't see anywhere else... Within 5 minutes he had an like on it and he wanted to see who liked him..How akward is was to see huis picture on the blog of that guy and he posted   "Beautiful Pakistan" underneith it... first we were laughing about it, but we asked him kindly to removbe the picture like being his own... He eventually did, but only the nerve....If you can't create content...don't try to steal from others....

100% agreed people have next level of desperation to make money with out doing any effort uff 😑😑. And honestly speaking such kind of people really deserve it what they got😑😑

Whatever culture or country you are from, theres always something you can contribute, a story or the happenings of your life. I wrote an article about finding money on the floor once, wierd I know.. but I dont think its been done before.

It is a sad fact of steemit life that as soon as tag becomes well-known and attacts rewards people jump on the bandwagon and use it without good cause.

Total copying of someone else's post though really is taking it one step too far. Some sort of '3 strikes and you're out' function on steemit would be so useful...

Its funny and sad at the same time how people try to make "quick money" in this way and steal other people content :/

Damn ! That's so annoying, but we can act as a community and try to weed these out and discourage from further plagiarism. I would be so mad if somebody used our content, we work so hard, I will literally track the person's IP address and go shit on their porch lol. #OriginalContentMatters

Not only do they destroy your reputation, they also damage the platform, if we fill the platform with plagiarism we scare off investors. These people have no idea what evil they do to themselves and to the platform itself.

I really hate plagiarists! I can't understand those people,  it's not so complex to write some original sentences and/or use own pics , why they have to copy from others???? They make me feel so angry!

This is a total let down, seeing people do this.  It is so easy to ask for permission and credit the owner of the work.  Lots of people write original posts and link and mention people they are talking about.

There is a line in all this - 

using an image on the web and not linking back to the source, because you forgot, or you don't remember where you go it from is one thing.

But copying an entire post is another. I would say that is more akin to theft.

You can't do that by mistake, or not remember where you got it from. This was done with purpose and intent. 

What would be useful in this situation, would be some sort of tribunal that you could complain to, and if the plagiarism is proven, then YOU get everything generated by the post.

That's a big disincentive to plagarise and a big incentive to check Steemit for stolen content.
