Soft pastel drawing : STAR WARS Rey and BB8

Hello my dear art fans,

Today I would like to present you my soft pastel drawing of Star Wars: Force Awakens characters: Rey and BB8, he was so cute in the film.

I wanted to do it already some time ago but was not sure if it works with pastels, as they are thick sticks and to draw fine lines it is difficult and sometimes it can destroy the whole picture as you can't really erase it. Also my pastel block is A4 format, that unfortunately small for such pastel stick. But I decided I will finish this block, otherwise it will be just laying there and will not be used, the next I buy will be bigger format. I like all my blocks to be filled with my works, no matter if successful or sometimes less successful but I keep them all, as reminder of the development of my skills. 
Then here we are, my drawing that I spend my yesterday.

Truly appreciated your talented drawings.
  I liked your #pastel rendition -- and surely enjoyed yr Progression drawings (the Breakdown).

R2D2 .. well, i never thought I'd SEE HIM in a PASTEL #drawing !

I enjoyed this all the MORE for the fact I just began viewing the more recent Star Wars films.  So thanx, fm the Bottom of my heart ♥♥  LOVE the colors

Thank you for your comments for my Star Wars drawing, it took me a while to decided ...to do or not to do... as I wanted to do but did not want to fail, anyway it was worth to try and at the end I am glad I did it. I really enjoyed drawing and my son, would like to have  it framed on his wall :)

I can understand that u didn't wish to fail-  sure am glad to see u DID it.

I own some pastels;  I've done oil painting, mainly.  Maybe now I'll  pick a topic & do the pastels

Star Wars is 1 of my fav all-time movies  (Han Solo, Chewy & R2-D2). 
  Maybe 1 day yr boy will get his wish !
