First try with a quality mechanical pencil and Tombow mono eraser

Hello Steemit Family.

Tools ;

* Mechanical pencil 0.7mm
* GPC charcoal pencil
* GPC Graphite pencil 8B
* Steadtler Graphite pencil 4B
* Tortilions and blending stump
* Cardboard paper.
* Tombow mono eraser

* The mechanical pencil was used for the detailing of the hair, eyes, face and lips.
* GPC charcoal pencil for the dark shades of the hair and parts of the shirt.
* Steadtler Graphite pencil 4B was for the soft lighter tones on the face
* GPC Graphite pencil 8B was to add darker shades to the skin tones of the face and neck

So, I got a WhatsApp message from a stranger in a neighbouring state saying she wanted an artwork done. After bargaining, we set on getting the reference picture. Here, I got a blurry reference picture which I will it post as it's not my creation. A full picture of a man wearing a material sewn attire. I cropped and Gridded.... We're set.

A usual, after representing the image with my Mechanical pencil set to 2h on the grided paper, I started to shade away starting from the forehead. 6B graphite pencil for the lighter shades and GPC graphite pencil 8B for the darker shades. Simultaneously switching between a tortilion and an handmade blending stump.

*The focus of this drawing is not on the image now. It's about the detailing as it'd be the first time I'd be using a Mechanical pencil and Tombow mono eraser on a work. (These tools work for skin texturing and detailing and I just got them"*

Here, we have the final result. I went through a lot of unexpected brouhaha with this work though. It was worth my while though.
