Hike to the Beach...

We went to the beach today, but it wasn't nearly as simple a trip as normal!

We drove about an hour to Calvert County, MD. This state park is a popular spot along the Chesapeake Bay for tourists and locals alike as it offers the chance to hang out on a beach, but requires a decent hike to get there.

Much of the almost 2 mile hike in is along some form of creek or wetlands.

Despite all the the foot traffic we managed to see a few of the local inhabitants...

The beach is well known for turning up ancient shark teeth, but despite a decent amount of time looking and sifting we didn't find any! 
Nevertheless it was a fun little adventure. A great way to spend a pleasant summer day!!
